Since it's Friday it's time to post some fun to, while I am at it! Me and my boyfriend have become addicted to Ok Go during this spring. It all started with their fantastic videos, even though I had heard "Get over it" a long time ago and really loved that too. Thinking closer, that might have been because of the video too..
Here is the latest one so far: Needing/Getting. This features a very strange version of the song, so I will also post you a link to the original further down on the page. And listen to the lyrics. Ok Go's singer/songwriter was breaking up with this wife, and oh, how one can feel that. So sad! And the video itself? Just observe! All the sounds are made by the things around the car, I thought there was just some at first, but oh noo!
This song has gotten me through a lot the last weeks... It makes you want to suck it up and get out there again.

Friday Fun: Dominos in a Finnish K-market
Since I haven't posted any Friday Fun videos lately, I hope that you forgive me for giving you this one on a Saturday. It's a lovely domino video made by two Finnish guys who work in a K-mart apparently. The build an amazing domino track around the whole store. Strangely enough the owners of the store didn't appreciate it ;)
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Friday Fun: Animals from BBC
This week's Friday Fun comes thanks to my darling boyfriend. He suddenly was doubled up with laughter in his chair and saying "You have to see this!" and so I did and soon found myself laughing so hard I was crying too. I found a few more episodes today and it's been a long time since I have laughed this hard. Basically it's a little series of clips with animals who have been voiced over by humans. Just hearing it described like that, I would have thought it was just stupid, but take a look. This is very well done, as everything BBC usually is. Have a nice weekend!
These are my three favourites, but there are tons more here.

Friday Fun: Scandinavia and the World - webcomic
Awesome Hats by *humon on deviantART
And then it's time for another Friday Fun post! I have been looking forward to this all week, since around last Sunday when my darling showed me this one. It's a webcomic with characters based on all the different countries around the world. Mostly it's seen from a Scandinavian point of view, but there are others from all over the world quite often turning up too. As a Norwegian I laugh my head of and I think the writer has really nailed how the Scandinavian countries relate to each other: The organized Swede, the happy-go-lucky Norwegians, the drunk under the table Danish. Finland and Iceland are very often included too, but remember boys and girls, they are not Scandinavian countries :) Other frequent characters is USA, King EU, Germany and Nazi-Germany. Under you will find some of my favorites, just use the arrows on the top of the page to navigate to the next comic

This Friday I finally had time to add a new video to my little series of Friday Fun which is basically funny interesting things that I think you should see. Surprising, astonishing or just plain fun. Something to let you float happily into the weekend.

Friday Fun: Pingu Hop by DVA
(Yes, I know it's not Friday, but since I haven't posted anything in my Friday Fun series for a long time, this should be OK. You can look forward to your Friday on a Tuesday.)
I found this song totally randomly online while searching for other good music, through Spotify's related artist feature I think. And it's first of all just hilarious! But also cute, jazzyy and make me want to groove around the floor. It's something about penguins themselves that is just extremely funny if you like slap stick humour like me, I think. Hope you like it too!

Friday Fun: Graham Norton with Basil the singing opera dog across the sea
This is one of the funniest things I have seen on TV ever. Kathrine Jenkins is a classical trained singer as you will understand and around 2.00 the part where dogs gets involved starts: You just have to see it yourself.. hehe.. She seams to have been very like correct and a bit uptight during the whole interview, so it's good that she actually livens up a bit in the end:) Basil, what an amazing dog.

Friday Fun: Bach meets Elton John
I randomly found a very cool thing on Spotify today. The pianist John Bayless is combining Bach and Elton John and improvises around the too. I think it qualifies as good Friday fun :)
Enjoy! Tiny Dancer and Your Song.

Friday Fun: Liam Lynch - United States of Whatever
United States of Whatever came out when I lived at a student dorm about 5 years ago. Two boys in my dorm played it all the time and I still think it's very very funny and very lovely ironic and over the top. The perfect sing along song in many ways. Liam Lynch himself is also quite an interesting guy. Among tons of other stuff he has done has directed some quite amazing music videos like "Times like these" for Foo Fighters and "Tribute" by Tenacious D. Here is the video for United States of Whatever. Enjoy! :)

Friday Fun: People - 1 to 100 years old and love that lasts and starts
This is a very funny and quite amazing video that a friend of mine posted on YouTube. The people in the video are hitting a drum and at the same time they say how old they are. They cover everyone from 1 to 100. It is so exciting to see all the different people and at the same time how they gradually get older and older. It's almost like a map of mankind. Enjoy!
This is what the YouTube page says about the movie:
The makers are By Lenka Clayton and James Price
AhA! I just realized there are more than one movie.
I found the other one on Lenka Clayton's homepage. The second one is so so so sweet. It's about people being in love and the length of their relationship, starting by the longest one. Quite beautiful. Watch it here.
This is what the YouTube page says about the movie:
People in Order's Age is part of a series of short films that assembles the people of Britain in a given order. In just 3 minutes, we meet 100 different people who are arranged according to their age, starting from age 1.

Friday fun!
Time to give you people out there some Friday fun! This is the world history from a Norwegian perspective by the Norwegian comedians "Raske menn" (Fast men). For all of you that don't know Thor Heyerdahl is a quite famed Norwegian explorer and he used to speak English like that and was always used for anything because he was so so famous... (or maybe not?). He also leaded the opening show at Lillehammer when we hosted the Olympic games in Norway i 1994, as you might have figured out.. I think this is so funny that I cry, even though I must have watched it about 50 times.
*For you that are not Norwegian:
*For you that are not Norwegian:
- Asbjørnsen and Moe are two men that collected all the fairy-tales of Norway in the 1800's. The fairy tales are very common in Norway and everybody knows that it should be ESPEN not ODD.
- Det kom et skip til Bjørgvin i 1342 - is a book describing how the Black Plague came to Norway. Used frequently in Norwegian schools and often used by people my age to remember when the Black Plague really took place... (What was the name of that book.... hm ... :)
- Sputnik: Also a Norwegian country artist with a horrible song about Johanne.
